On Tuesday, March 25th, a select group of 3rd and 4th graders participated in the county-wide K'Nex STEM Design Challenge at the Berks County Intermediate Unit. In this challenge, elementary students focused on Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure (UN Sustainable Development Goal 9) by designing a prototype that addressed a real-world problem related to infrastructure, transportation, or urban development.
These two teams have been preparing since December to create their prototype. They had two hours to reconstruct their design by using blueprints they created. Afterwards, they had two minutes to present their idea to a panel of judges.
It was a great experience for all! We can't wait to see what next year brings!
