We strive to offer our students authentic learning experiences, connecting their classroom education with the local, national, and global community. Students are encouraged to drive their own education by identifying their interests and passions.

β€œLearning by Doing” is a main principle of the Conrad Weiser Agriculture Science Department. Our department is home to a wide variety of state-of-the-art facilities and equipment. The Raymond G. Edwards Wet Lab houses equipment for cell culture, genetics, molecular biology, live-cell imaging, and more. The Stephen S. Miller Agriculture Library contains high-end microscopes and 3-D printers for students to utilize. The greenhouse and grow room provide opportunities for horticulture and botany studies. The animal room and barn allow students to raise animals for production and research purposes.

National FFA Organization

The National FFA Organization is the nation’s largest student-run leadership organization. The goal of FFA is to prepare members for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education. At Conrad Weiser, FFA is integrated closely with agricultural education courses.

Any student enrolled in an agriculture course is automatically registered for FFA and can participate in any Conrad Weiser FFA event throughout the year. These events include community service projects, recreational activities, educational trips, Career Development Events (CDEs), Leadership Development Events (LDEs), AgriScience Fair, and more. Our local Conrad Weiser FFA Chapter is led by a student officer team charged with planning and executing the day-to-day activities of the chapter.
